Artist Alexander Korzer-Robinson of Bristol antiquarian turns book into a work of art. Here’s how he talks about his art: “My job is to literally” bite “in the book, leaving the individual images, and removing the other. So we can say that I use only the pictorial material, which is already in a given volume. The result of my work is multi-layered composition, which resembles a paper puppet theater, which enjoy an extraordinary popularity in the Victorian era. ”
“The work of imagination begins when I think about the selection of books suitable for the job. Then, picking up a book, I begin to plan what I want to create on its basis. I do not even try to restrain your imagination and try to write or record any other way, any associations and ideas that come to me at this stage. ”
