As usual every year, National Geographic holds its contest for the best photos. Deadline for papers 30 November. Selection of the best photographs in three categories which are people, places and nature.
National Geographic began reporting about nature and society in 1888.
Its mission was to “inspire people to care about the planet.” In 1996, the National Geographic Society started its website, nationalgeographic.com.
People with access to the Internet can visit the National Geographic website and read stories, play games, and communicate with other fans of the Society.
Visitors can read stories updated daily or stories contained in the print magazine itself.
