Amazing blue ice of Perito Moreno Glacier is 50 metres in height, it is stretched for four miles long through the whole lake. This 30,000 years old glacier is located at the National Park of Los Glaciares in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina.
Glacier was named after the explorer Francisco Moreno, who had first explored this region in the 19th century and played an important role in protecting the territory interests of Argentina in a border dispute with Chile. The Glacier Perito Moreno is 5 kilometres wide, with a average height of 74 metres above the surfaces of lake Lago Argentino, which is located at western part of Argentina. The average depth of ice is 170 metres (558 ft) and maximum 700 metres.
